Kochi-Kachar Mela which means a gathering of budding kids, is one of the leading organizations of the children and juvenile of the country. Affiliated to the central body, ‘ Gandaria Kisholoy Kochi Kanchar Mela’ began its journey right after the independent of the country in 10 July 1972 with the aim of bringing traditional Bengali cultural trends closer to the mainstream way and celebration of Bengali’s daily life. Among its various activities its program primarily focuses on science, literature, music, dance, recitation, arts and paintings. Aiming at achieving a very high standard of excellence, the organizers seek to bring out the best in a child nourishing all the potentials latent in him. The ultimate goal is to create a new breed and creed of worthy citizen of the country. The total number of registered children and juvenile members of this cultural offshoot of central Kochi-Kachar Mela around two thousand. Affiliated to the central body,Gandaria Kisholoy Kochi-Kanchar Mela began its journey in 1972 right after the independence of the country. Among its various activities, its program primarily focuses on science, literature, music, dance, recitation, arts and painting. Aiming at achieving a very high standard of excellence, the organizers seek to bring out the best in a child nourishing all the potentials latent in him. The ultimate goal is to create a new breed and creed of worthy citizens of the country.

What others say about us

To develop a child’s creativity we have a Institute which is seven years of duration with proper curriculum for creative subject. Traditional song, dance, recitation, acting and pronunciation training are given here of various duration for the children. Timing of the institute : Thursday & Friday: 3 pm to evening.

This is a school for less privileged children and who are engaged in hazards labor. After finishing the primary education they are given vocational training to make them skilled to keep up with their livelihood. We have a future plan to support and give them small loan to establish their own business to use their skills.
