Gandaria Kisholaya Kochi-Kachar Mela came into being on 10 July 1972 with the aim of bringing treditional Bengali cultural trends closer to the mainstream way and celebration of Bengali’s daily life. Since then it has had number of occasions to prove its mark and excellence. The total number of registered children members of this cultural offshoot of central Kochi-Kachar Mela exceeded one thousand. Even the central organization can boast of many accolades at the national and international level. Children became the true ambassadors of cultural activity. Kochi-Kanchar Mela which means a gathering of budding kids, is one of the leading organization of the Juvenile and children of the country. Affiliated to the central body,Gandaria Kisholoy Kochi-Kanchar Mela began its journey in 1972 right after the independence of the country. Among its various activities, its program primarily focuses on science, literature, music, dance, recitation, arts and painting. Aiming at achieving a very high standard of excellence, the organizers seek to bring out the best in a child nourishing all the potentials latent in him. The ultimate goal is to create a new breed and creed of worthy citizens of the country.
